Corepile is the main French eco-organism for portable batteries and accumulators, covering all consumer-grade cells (AA, AAA, button cells, lithium-ion packs in devices).
Corepile runs the take-back network for used portable batteries in France: collection bins in supermarkets, electronics retailers, and public facilities. Producers contribute based on the tonnage of batteries put on the market, embedded or standalone.
Any company placing batteries on the French market, either as standalone products (a pack of AAs) or embedded in another product (a wireless mouse, a power tool, a vape). The embedded battery counts separately from the WEEE stream.
