Corepile (merged into Ecosystem in 2025) authorized representative
for non-EU sellers in France.
Corepile was the main French eco-organism for portable batteries and accumulators from 2003 to 2025. In summer 2025, Corepile was absorbed by Ecosystem, which now handles all new adhesions for portable batteries alongside its WEEE business.
Historically, Corepile ran the take-back network for used portable batteries in France: collection bins in supermarkets, electronics retailers, and public facilities. Since the 2025 merger, Ecosystem operates this network under a unified contract that also covers WEEE.
Any company placing batteries on the French market, either as standalone products (a pack of AAs) or embedded in another product (a wireless mouse, a power tool, a vape), now adheres to Ecosystem. The embedded battery counts separately from the WEEE stream even though both adhesions are with the same eco-organism since the merger. For industrial and automotive batteries, Screlec remains the independent operator.

What we do for the Corepile (merged into Ecosystem in 2025) stream specifically.
We adhere on your behalf to Ecosystem under the unified contract that absorbs the legacy Corepile portable-battery activity, file the battery-specific declarations (per chemistry: alkaline, lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium), and pay contributions. We also reconcile the embedded-battery declarations with your WEEE declaration to avoid double-counting.
