Adelphe is an 85% subsidiary of Citeo (the remaining 15% is held by AFED and MVS, the French wine and spirits professional associations). It serves specific industries with their own packaging eco-organism: wine and spirits producers, pharmaceutical companies, and a few smaller verticals.
Adelphe operates the same scheme as Citeo (collection, sorting, recycling) but with tailored eco-contribution rates and reporting templates adapted to its industries. Wine bottles, pharma blisters, and the specific regulatory regime around these products are accommodated.
Wine, spirits, and pharma producers placing their products on the French market, whether from France, the United States, or any other country. If you fall into these verticals, Adelphe is typically your adhering eco-organism, not Citeo directly.

What we do for the Adelphe stream specifically.
You remain the producer. Under the written mandate required by Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environmental Code, we take charge of and answer for your registration, your identifier, your declarations, the exchanges with the eco-organisation and audits, and the archiving of your files. Your eco-contributions stay invoiced to you and paid by you directly to the eco-organisation. For Adelphe, we prepare and file the declarations on its own templates; the eco-contribution is set on its published schedule, and we take no percentage on it. We currently register clients with Citeo, Léko and Léko Pro, Ecosystem (electrical equipment, lamps, batteries), Twiice, Refashion, Ecomaison and Valobat. For the other approved eco-organisations, we confirm availability with your quote.

- Who has to join Adelphe?
- Any producer placing products covered by Household packaging on the French market, whatever the country it is established in, with no minimum volume. The producer is the first company placing the goods on that market: for a distance sale to a French consumer, that is the seller, not the carrier and not the marketplace.
- Can I join Adelphe without a French company?
- Not directly. A producer with no establishment in France must appoint a representative established in France, compulsory since 10 July 2026 under Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environmental Code. For Adelphe, we confirm availability with your quote.
- What does Adelphe membership cost?
- Two separate amounts. The membership fee runs from EUR 0 to 450 a year depending on the stream. The eco-contribution depends on what you place on the market and follows Adelphe's published schedule. Your eco-contributions stay invoiced to you and paid by you directly to the eco-organisation. We take no percentage and no margin on either of them.
- Is Adelphe the only option?
- No. On Household packaging, Citeo and Léko are also state-accredited. Joining any one of them satisfies the obligation, and the choice belongs to the producer. They differ on their published schedule, their declaration format and their eco-modulations, not on the legal cover they provide.
