EcoDDS is the approved French eco-organism for household diffuse chemical products (déchets diffus spécifiques, DDS): paints, solvents, glues, treatment products and other reactive chemicals used by households, covering categories 3 to 10 of the chemicals stream.
EcoDDS organises the safe collection and treatment of leftover household chemicals through waste centres and retailer take-back points, so that hazardous residues are handled properly rather than poured away. Producers adhere, declare the products they place on the French market, and pay an eco-contribution scaled to product type and hazard.
Any company placing household chemical products such as paints, varnishes, solvents, adhesives, or garden and maintenance treatment products on the French market, whether established in France, elsewhere in the EU, or outside the EU. The trigger is the first placement on the French market, not the seller location.

What we do for the EcoDDS stream specifically.
You remain the producer. Under the written mandate required by Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environmental Code, we take charge of and answer for your registration, your identifier, your declarations, the exchanges with the eco-organisation and audits, and the archiving of your files. Your eco-contributions stay invoiced to you and paid by you directly to the eco-organisation. You register on the EcoDDS portal in your own name and designate us as your representative in the annex to the contract; we then file your declarations.

- Who has to join EcoDDS?
- Any producer placing products covered by Chemical products (DDS) on the French market, whatever the country it is established in, with no minimum volume. The producer is the first company placing the goods on that market: for a distance sale to a French consumer, that is the seller, not the carrier and not the marketplace.
- Can I join EcoDDS without a French company?
- Not directly. A producer with no establishment in France must appoint a representative established in France, compulsory since 10 July 2026 under Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environmental Code. You register on the EcoDDS portal in your own name and designate us as your representative in the annex to the contract; we then file your declarations.
- What does EcoDDS membership cost?
- Two separate amounts. The membership fee runs from EUR 0 to 450 a year depending on the stream. The eco-contribution depends on what you place on the market and follows EcoDDS's published schedule. Your eco-contributions stay invoiced to you and paid by you directly to the eco-organisation. We take no percentage and no margin on either of them.
- Is EcoDDS the only option?
- No. On Chemical products (DDS), Ecopae and Pyréo are also state-accredited. Joining any one of them satisfies the obligation, and the choice belongs to the producer. They differ on their published schedule, their declaration format and their eco-modulations, not on the legal cover they provide.
