EcoDDS

EcoDDS organises the safe collection and treatment of leftover household chemicals through waste centres and retailer take-back points, so that hazardous residues are handled properly rather than poured away. Producers adhere, declare the products they place on the French market, and pay an eco-contribution scaled to product type and hazard.

Any company placing household chemical products such as paints, varnishes, solvents, adhesives, or garden and maintenance treatment products on the French market, whether established in France, elsewhere in the EU, or outside the EU. The trigger is the first placement on the French market, not the seller location.

We act as your French authorized representative under Article 8a §5 of Directive 2008/98/EC for the household-chemicals (DDS) stream. We sign the EcoDDS adherence on your behalf, obtain your IDU through ADEME SYDEREP, file the declarations; the eco-contribution itself is set by the eco-organism on its published schedule, and we take no percentage on it. Producer status stays with you; the obligations covered by the mandate are carried by us.
