Pleasure and sport boats (BPS)
Required for pleasure and sport boats placed on the French market, financing the end-of-life boat deconstruction scheme.
A France-established representative is now compulsory for boats.
Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environment Code, created by law n° 2026-602 of 8 July 2026, requires any person subject to French EPR without an establishment in France to appoint a representative established in France by written mandate, and subrogates that representative into the obligations for which it accepts the mandate. The rule is horizontal: it applies to boats exactly as it applies to the other French streams, and it does not depend on the PPWR.
The test is establishment in France, not nationality, so a producer based elsewhere in the European Union is covered on the same terms as one based outside it. Within the scope and duration of the mandate we carry the boats obligations; you keep producer status, answer for the accuracy of the data you give us, and remain responsible for any period before the mandate took effect. Read the full breakdown of the statute, including what to do if you already hold a APER membership with no representative on the file.
A fixed annual fee, stated in writing before you commit.
Per stream, for producers under the eco-organism flat-fee regime. Your exact fee depends on this stream's declarative regime and your number of product references, never on sales volume.
The quote states the fixed annual fee for boats, the one-time setup for the stream and the refundable security deposit. For the twelve months it covers, the number you sign is the number you pay.
APER set your eco-contributions at their published barème rates. They stay separate from our fee and we take no percentage on them: we prepare and file the declarations that drive them, and help you optimise them.

How this stream works in France.
