Ecosystem is the main eco-organism for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in France, covering household and professional EEE collection and recycling.
Ecosystem operates the largest WEEE collection network in France, processing over 600,000 tonnes per year. Producers adhere, pay an eco-contribution per category of equipment placed on the market, and receive collection and recycling reports.
Any company placing equipment with a plug, battery, sensor, or electronic component on the French market: small appliances, computers, phones, lighting, power tools, IoT devices, e-cigarettes. Trigger is the first placement, regardless of seller location.
We act as your French representative for the WEEE stream: adherence signed, IDU obtained, periodic declarations; the eco-contribution itself is set by the eco-organism on its published schedule, and we take no percentage on it. We also handle the marking and reporting obligations specific to EEE, such as the visible eco-contribution display on B2B invoices.
